New postdoctoral researcher appointment

Sept. 25, 2023

Dr. Katherine Snow, our new postdoctoral researcher, was formerly a guest researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law (Freiburg) and is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at New College Florida as well as the founder of a nonprofit environmental intelligence consultancy, the Gaia Morgan Group. She begins her postdoctoral work at Princeton in April 2024.

The International Panel on Environmental History & Policy (EnvHist4P) is a global network of interdisciplinary scientists researching the relationship between past societies and their environmental history. The network is concerned in particular with past societal responses and adaptations to environmental stress, especially climatic change and epidemics from Antiquity to the Industrial Revolution and the onset of the Anthropocene. Our postdoctoral researcher screens ongoing and planned consultations and policy debates within the EU and key European national states (and in the UN and the US federal government and agencies. In cooperation with experts involved in the EnvHist4P network, we will identify the debates/consultations that have the greatest need of environmental history and archaeology expertise.
